But K tries to get Rhoda to persuade the Minister to give them a second chance, but it's just for him to buy some time. But regardless, The Minister is pissed and apparently once you botch a mission, you're dead. Uh so what about the killing children subplot? I guess we forgot about that. Then the third target comes along and this time, turns out this guy was a former assassin just like K, and delivers an ominous message about how The Minister isn't what he seems before escaping. Moving on, he gets a second assignment and he goes for the quick kill too. And also "befriends" the cute girl staying next door by saving her from some thugs, and then later gawking at her, because that's what he does best. err, I mean, look up hotels trying to find the hotel from the beginning of the movie in hopes of getting back his memories. After the assignment he gets put in a random budget hotel for reasons? And they even give him the Internets, so of course he spends all his time looking at cat videos. He's told the guy is some evil guy with a thing for young girls, so our hero who doesn't kill immediately goes in for a quick, unhesitating kill. Okay, you nasty piece of shit.Įventually K is paired with lead girl, Rhona, to go assassinate a guy. hmm okay, maybe this Minister guy might have a good side- oh wait, he'll do it if the client triples the price. Oh we also see lead girl Rhona overhear the Minister talking to a client saying how he won't kill children. And hey, cameo alert! Shang Tsung is watching from the sidelines! He will have their souls!! No, not really, but it's Cary Tagawa, whom we all recognize as Shang Tsung. And again to prove that The Minister is evil, the fights are to the death and when K refuses to kill (because he's the good guy, see.), The Minister kills the loser anyway. The Minister wants to test him out? Also, this is a fighting game movie., so there's got to be plenty of fights. K spends the next few days getting into random fights because. So like any typical evil bad guy, The Minister implants a remote controlled bomb in K's body to force obedience, and then randomly blows up some dude just to show how evil he his. while I'm wondering where are the rest of that endless stream of soldiers we saw earlier?Īnyways, long story short, he escapes, then gets run down by the heroine of the show, Rhona, who then proceeds to kidnap him and bring him to The Minister, who runs an assassination op hidden in plain sight outside the slums of Tekken City. But no, that would end the movie too early, so two cosplay soldiers burst in and then he takes his time beating them down with his "impressive" martial arts. Dude, if a military or para-military were really after you, you're in the best position for a sniper shot to the head. And he's standing right in front of the balcony wondering gawking at what all the racket outside is. Then an "army" of soldiers come after him, though by their poorly made costumes I'll call them cosplay soldiers. He wakes up and gawks a lot, and seems like this is his one recurring defining trait - gawking at anything and everything. Okay, so right from the beginning we have the titular character (whom we shall call 'K') wake up in a really badly acted bout of having a nightmare and cold sweat. Morbid curiosity, maybe? Just something to kill the time, while already run out of video game movies to watch? Netflix tempting me by having it appear on my home screen? I mean, I've heard that it was bad, so I'm not sure what exactly prompted me to try and watch this.
